Santa Luzia’s casings are also knowns as “architraves”, in some regions. This casing 456 is painted white from factory and is made of a raw material called polystyrene, technically known as PS. The white casing 456 is part of the Modern Collection, which includes other products, such as bases, chair rails, crowns and accessories, like finishing center and corner mouldings, plinth blocks and rosettes. These profiles are eco-friendly and sustainable because they are made from recycled EPS (STYROFOAM®). After recycling the plastic, 96% of it is used as raw material for the production of mouldings and wall paneling. Once these profiles have reached the end of their useful life, they can be recycled and transformed into raw materials once again for the production of new products. This casing has several interesting features that differentiate it from other products in its category. It does not mold, rot, is immune to pests and termites, is water-resistant, and can be used in wet/ humid environments, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. Its use is for interior environments only. This profile’s board comes in lengths of 7′ 10-1/2″ (2.4m) by factory standard (which may be customizable upon request).
The Modern Collection is composed of bases, casings, chair rails and accessories, such as plinth blocks and rosettes, that add modernity to walls, doors, and passages of indoor spaces. Made from recycled polystyrene and painted white from factory, these profiles offer endless possibilities of use to make your environment modern and clean, creating, for instance, shiplaps, picture frame mouldings and much more. The variety of profile sizes is the standout feature of this collection, with different surfaces, thicknesses, and heights—ranging from delicate 1 3/16″ (3cm) tall bases to 9 13/16″ tall (25cm) bases. Add a modern touch in a practical way with Santa Luzia’s ready to install Modern Collection.
