Santa Luzia Industries showcases innovative sustainable products at Expo Revestir 2022!
With a 135m² booth designed by architect Juliana Medeiros, the company retells its own history in celebration of its 80th anniversary in 2022. Leveraging expertise in developing innovative solutions and handling expanded polystyrene (EPS) waste (commonly known as Styrofoam®), as well as wood-plastic composite (WPC) and sustainably sourced pine, Santa Luzia adds new products to its portfolio, including coverings, boiserie, bases, and slatted panels.
Everything changed when we stopped to listen.
An architect from São Paulo came to us with a problem: wood baseboards paired with plaster weren’t working in humid environments.
That’s when we realized — it wasn’t just about delivering beauty. We had to solve a real pain point.
We paused everything. We truly listened. And we began searching for a new solution. That’s when we discovered the potential of recycled polystyrene: more resistant, more durable, and more sustainable.
That moment marked the beginning of our first baseboards made with this innovative material. And along with them, a new future for Santa Luzia was born.
Today, we’re the largest manufacturer in Latin America in this segment.
And it all started with a single conversation.
