An alternative to the predominant use of natural wood in this type of application, the slatted wall mouldings from the Multiline Collection collaborate with correct destination for everyday plastics such as expanded polystyrene, popularly known by the brand Styrofoam®, or by the acronym EPS. Furthermore, they do not mold, rot and are not attacked by pests such as termites.
2022 Launch - DIY Slatted Wall Moulding 105
There are two new colours and a new width to make the application of slatted panels even easier in different types of projects. The main objective of theDIY Slatted Wall Moulding 105 is to speed up application. The DIY Slatted Wall Moulding is the union between the Polystyrene batten and fillet in a single piece, with a width of approximately 10 millimeters and 2.8 meters in length. It fits precisely, offering faster, easier installation and a flawless finish.
Polystyrene Battens
The battens are available in 12 colours that cater to different tastes and interior decor trends, from woody to metallic, in addition to the traditional black and white. They are distributed in 2.8 meter long bars, 3 cm wide and 1.6 cm thick.
Polystyrene Fillets
To create the famous slatted panels, the collection offers fillets to intersperse them with battens. They are available in the same 12 colours as the slats, offered in2.8 meter long bars, 2.35 cm wide and 0.8 cm thick.
Polystyrene DIY Slatted Wall Moulding
It is the union between the Battens and Fillets in a single piece. They are available in two sizes with 55 mm and 75 mm wide. In other words, this fit is precise, offering faster, easier installation and a flawless finish.
Pine Batten
Even so, if it is not possible to give up wood, the collection offers Pine Batten made from reforested pine, with trees grown on Santa Luzia's own farms. The clear tone of the pine batten guarantee a visually clean result in applications.
This natural aspect is reinforced by the preservation in the manufacture of timber knots. In addition, they are available in three size options with 2.8 meters in length: 2.8 cm x 1.4 cm; 2.8 cm x 2.8 cm and 2.8 cm x 5 cm.
At first, this installation is practical, fast and clean, just use Santa Luzia's Double-Side Tape and Super Adhesive for horizontal and vertical applications on any surface.
Painting Tip!
If none of the existing colours are within your project's intentions, it is possible to choose the moulding among the slatted wall mouldings that can be customized as the ones in white, and paint them with other shades of white, for example.
However, for this type of procedure we suggest the use of water-based enamel paint. With a very fine sandpaper (600 to 900), sand the moulding just to matte the product's shine, without damaging the original factory paint.
However, if the painting is with colored paint, the solvent base enamel can be used. However, in this case there will be no need to use sandpaper before painting. Below are the options that can be painted!

Yes it is possible to place it in damp areas where it does not rot.
The only caveat would be at the time of cleaning not to use strong chemicals and follow the recommendations in the technical sheet for maintenance.
